Beschreibung:A urine diversion dry toilet and its socio-ecological development basics / von Martin Kitzler. - Wien, 2007. - 111 Bl

A urine diversion dry toilet is based on:

- Diversion of urine and faeces before mixing.
- Protection of groundwater, streams and lakes from faecal contamination.
- Reduction in the consumption of water, especially in urban areas where flush and discharge toilets would have been in use.
- Dry toilets allow one to make use of the high fertilizer value in urine.
- Design is flexible and therefore adaptable and affordable for everybody.

"DON´T MIX" is the fundamental law for a well-working urine diversion dry toilet, which means never mix urine with faeces. A specially designed squatting slab (or sitting mould) divides the two fractions.
